Job Board Marketing - Trade Me

Once you have set up a job in StaffCV and published it to your job seeker portal, you can elect to publish it to the Trade Me job board. 

You need to have an active account with Trade Me in order to do this. Call your Trade Me Account Manager and inform them you want to become a registered job agent. Trade Me will confirm this for you.

Trade Me will then provide you with your:

• Branding ID
• Branding Logo ID

The StaffCV Support Desk will use these details to set up the integration for you, and you'll be ready to go. If you do not use Branding, you can skip this step and go straight to using the Trade Me integration.

NOTE: The first time you connect to Trade Me, you will be required to Authorize the connection. That means you will be asked to log into Trade Me with your username and password. Please make sure you have these on hand to do so when you connect. After that you will be authorised and do not need to repeat this.

How to post a job to Trade Me

1. Login to the web app at http://app.bfound.net
2. Click on Jobs in the main menu
3. Click on the job you want to post
4. Click on the purple 'Job Board Marketing' button under 'Edit Job'
   
   
   
   
   
5. A list of available job boards is displayed:

6. Click anywhere in the 'Trade Me' row of the table. The Trade Me form will load. 

7. Complete all the required fields, and click on the Save Changes button. You will be returned to the Job Board Marketing table.

8. In the Status column, click the drop-down and select 'Publish'

9. Your job will be posted to Trade Me.

How to edit a job posting on Trade Me

1. Open the job in the web app and click on the purple 'Job Board Marketing' button.
2. Click anywhere in the Trade Me row of the Job Board Marketing table
3. Edit the fields you wish to change, and click on Save Changes. 
4. If you also wish to make edits to the job advert text, the job title, etc. then click on the blue 'Edit Job' button and make changes in the StaffCV job wizard and save them.
   
   
   
   
   
   
5. Once you have made all your edits, return to the Job Board Marketing table, and select the 'Update' option in the publishing Status drop-down. Your job will be updated on Trade Me.
   
   
   

How to expire your ad from Trade Me 

1. Open the job in the web app and click on the purple 'Job Board Marketing' button.
2. From the Status column, click on 'Expire' in the publishing drop-down
   
   
   
   
3. Your ad will be expired from the Trade Me job board

If you have set your job to auto-close at a certain date and time, once it has closed from StaffCV, it will also expire from Trade Me automatically.

Tips and Tricks

Salary information - note that the salary type is picked up from Step 1 of the StaffCV Job Wizard (annual or hourly). If you need to change this in order to input your Trade Me Minimum and Maximum salary, return to Edit the job in StaffCV, to annual or hourly.

Using Video
Trade Me now supports including video on your job advert, but you first need to upload your video online to YouTube. Once you have created a YouTube account and uploaded your video, you need to get it's 'Share' link. Click on 'Share' under the YouTube video, and you will see a URL in the format: 

• https://youtu.be/xxxxxxxxxxx  or
• https://youtu.be/embed/xxxxxxxxxxx

Where xxxxxxxxxxx is the Video ID,

Copy and paste this URL into the Job Board Marketing field in StaffCV titled 'Video URL'. It will automatically be included with your job advert when it is uploaded. 

Using Photos
Trade Me now supports the uploading of up to 20 images for your job advert. Branding logos are separately done as long as you have linked your Branding IDs to your account (as above). Images are separately loaded into the Job Board Marketing fields and will be loaded onto the job advert when published.
